Cynthia Berg Cynthia Berg is a native of Missouri who has resided in St. Louis most of her life. She was an art major at Colorado Woman's College and began painting professionally in 1985. Since then she has exhibited in major national and regional juried shows as well as solo and group exhibitions. Her work has been carried in galleries in Maryland, Missouri, Colorado and California. Her paintings are included in both private and corporate collections across the United States. Cynthia paints in the abstract expressionistic style using mixed media and collage. She uses acrylic and watercolors, oil stick, colored pencils and pastels. The collage incorporated in her paintings includes old photos, handmade papers and original papers she has painted. Her primary goal in each painting is that it has a strong composition and that the viewer should never become bored with it. Cynthia has been accepted in over 25 juried shows across the country since 1988, including: Watercolor USA 1996, St. Louis Women's Caucus"Contemporary Women" Show 1996 and 1999, COCA Annual Juried Show 1992 and 1993, and Art St. Louis "The Exhibition 2000". She has also had two solo exhibitions at Barucci Gallery 1989 and 1990, and ten dual or group exhibitions at Barucci Gallery, Graphic Traffic Gallery, Garret Gallery, Columbia Art League, The Bascom-Louise Gallery, World Trade Center (Clayton, MO), The Heights Gallery and Phoenix Potteries.
