Kaye Gorecki Kaye Gorecki was born in Georgia and grew up in central Florida. She and her family have long loved the western North Carolina mountains where she is now a permanent resident. Kaye resides in Franklin, North Carolina with her husband John, her daughter Sarah, a Quaker parrot named Quincy, and two English Bulldogs, Toby and Bentley. Kaye attended Stetson University where she majored in voice and music education. She pursued her passion for visual art in her studio while teaching and has received many awards at juried art festivals. After completing her art studies at the University of Central Florida, she began teaching art history and studio art classes and has become a National Board Certified Teacher of Art. Kaye is currently the Executive Director of the Bascom-Louise Gallery in Highlands, North Carolina.
