"Sticking
Together"

special collection of collages by 11 different artists.
"Sticking Together" is made up of two parts...
The "Signature" piece (shown below) is made up of 12" x 12" canvases representing each artist's signature. Each canvas is its own work of art, but will hang together as one piece in exhibition. You may click on any of the images to view a larger version of that image.
The main body of the work is made up of other collage work by each of the artists. As you will see, there is a great variety in size, shape, material, color, and theme. Again, you may click on any image to view a larger version.

It all began when a group of artists started talking about collage. Some started experimenting with the medium. Then they called other artist friends and the group "Sticking Together" came about.
They are a group of 11 artists mostly from Macon and Jackson Counties of North Carolina. Only one of the group is actually a collage artist. The rest work primarily in oil, pastel, watercolor, photography and even encaustic.
The purpose behind "Sticking Together" is not only to have fun and stretch creative muscles, but also to educate on the subject of fine art collage.
"Sticking Together" received grants from the Jackson County Art Council and the Arts Council of Macon County.
